Item Description
Ireland by CIEc.1955. Signed Curran. Probably Belfast based William Curran who won a Bord Fáilte anti-litter poster competition in 1967. A lush scene resembling those in posters depicting the Alps or north America rather than obviously Ireland. CIE was promoting its new ‘A class’ diesel trains here and like other posters aimed at the north American market, the aim was to stress modernity of transport.
Poster is 420 x 652mm and comes in a tube for posting.
