Southern Ireland Travel Poster
Item Description
Southern Ireland. Travel via Fishguard to Rosslare, Waterford or Cork. GWR.c.1925. By George Baker. Though there is little use of colour, it is a striking composition, stereotypically Irish and reminiscent of the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney. Railway companies like Great Western Railway wanted to get passengers to the ferry ports and they often held shares in the ferries across the Irish Sea themselves.
Poster is 420 x 652mm and comes in a tube for posting.
