The Faddan More Psalter is an Irish illuminated book of psalms, dating from the late eighth century. It was discovered in a peat bog in Country Tipperary in July 2006. It is the only velum (calf skin) book known to have been found in a modern archaeological context, and is the first Irish book of such a date to be discovered for 200 years.

This publication tells the story of how it was found and recovered and of the painstaking conservation work that has been carried out to understand and preserve it. It also tells of the remarkable discoveries that have been made long the way as most up-to-date scientific research techniques have been brought to bear on the find.
