Officer of the Bank of Ireland Yeomanry
Soldiers of Ireland designed, cast and painted exclusively for the National Museum of Ireland by Peadar Collins.
IN 1797 The Bank of Ireland was authorised to raise a corps of yeomanry. In 1821 the corps, also known as The Bank Infantry, had 6 captains, 6 lieutenants, 1 adjutant, 6 sergeants, 1 drummer and 126 rank and file. This captain is based on an 1813 painting by Roger Gibbs.
This figure is made from a lead free pewter.
