This striking sterling silver brooch is made by Declan Killen, award winning Dublin jeweller and goldsmith. It is inspired by an original silver embossed penannular brooch found in Drimnagh, Co Roscommon, that is dated to the late 9th century - early 10th century. The original brooch can be seen in our Treasury exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, in Kildare St, Dublin. Hallmarked at Dublin Castle.
