This lunula pendant is hand cast in white bronze by Jack Roberts in Galway. It is inspired by the Early Bronze Age crescent shaped lunlulae on display at the 'Ór - Ireland's Gold' exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology. Dating from 2400 BC - 1800 BC, the originals were made from hammered sheets of river gold and finely decorated with chevrons, ridges and dots. This pendant brings the ancient lunlula design to a modern and wearable context. Box includes information card.
