This Shrine Pendant is inspired by the beautiful and intricate openwork decoration on the original St Patrick's Bell Shrine that can be seen in the Treasury exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, Dublin. The original Shrine was made about 1100AD to preserve and house a much earlier bronze-coated iron bell, reputed to have belonged to St Patrick himself. This slightly curved pendant is crafted by Declan Killen, award winning Dublin jeweller and goldsmith, and hallmarked at Dublin Castle. Dimensions: Height 2.1cm including chain loop Width 1.2cm Weight 3g including chain. Packaged in a National Museum of Ireland gift box.
