This Mace Head Pendant is inspired by the original polished stone ceremonial Knowth mace head on display at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, Dublin. Knowth is one of the prehistoric sites of the Brú na Bóinne Complex that includes Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, 50 km north of Dublin. A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Brú na Bóinne Complex is acknowledged as Europe's largest and most important concentration of prehistoric megalithic art. This pendant is hand cast in silver bronze by Jack Roberts in Galway. Box contains information card. H 2.5 cm W 1.2 mm at top and 1.8 cm at base D 1mm at top and 4 mm at base.
